Terfezia arenaria is the desert truffle with the widest geographical distribution in the world and  It stands out by its sweet and pleasant aroma, similar to mushrooms, and by its flavor, similar to artichokes.

They have brown color with black spots, and they can reach quite large size. In general, they are normally found with Tuberaria guttata as they have a symbiotic relationship.
